I have started playing with Film Noir style video and stills. This is a classic Hollywood technique. Mostly shot in Black and White. I use a few different lighting tricks to create the authentic look. Lighting is very important. For some shots I use blinds to get that old detective movie feel. Other shots I light the background independently from the subject, to push the separation, creating the “golden age” Hollywood movie look.

Another important aspect is the wardrobe, hair and makeup design. We can go fully authentic with my collection of vintage hats, jackets and jewelry. It is also fun to play with mixing modern clothing and styles with the classic lighting.
